Connecting Greens on the North Shore

Welcome to the site of the North Vancouver Green Party of Canada Electoral District Association! Founded in 2004, the organization has grown from a handful of volunteers to an enthusiastic team of over 225 people today. We have fielded candidates in all five recent federal elections. Our last campaign, with Claire Martin as the candidate, was our largest. We received more donations, attracted the most volunteers, and for the first time, rented an office. We all learned a great deal.

The riding of North Vancouver stretches from the Capilano River on the west to the Seymour River on the east. We encompass the City of North Vancouver, a portion of the District of North Vancouver and two Squamish communities, one at the north end of the Lions Gate Bridge and the other on Bragg and Mosquito Creeks. For our boundary details, see this map.

If you would like to attend one of our regular meetings or find out about an upcoming event, please contact us. We are always keen on  new volunteers! If you live in our riding, you can become an official member of our group by joining the Green Party of Canada. As a member of our association, you would have the opportunity to select the organization’s executive and pick a candidate for the next election.

George Orr, our #GREEN candidate for North Vancouver was attending the Green New Deal Town Hall event in #NorthVan

Green New Deal is a bold vision for tackling climate change and rising inequality in a way that centers justice for Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and workers.

But the only way that we can make sure it truly works for everyone, is by bringing together people from all walks of life to develop a shared vision that is grounded in solutions that come from our communities.
• And this gathering was one of more than 150 across the country. Sounds encouraging!#climatechangeisreal #election2019 #climateaction #climateemergency #votegreen #greennewdeal #greenvision #greenfuture #northvangreens #greenpartyofcanada #electgeorgeorr
