Litigating Against Climate Change: How Does It Work?
The North Vancouver Greens are hosting a talk by Michael Doherty, a lawyer with Ecojustice, Canada’s largest environmental law charity. It is called, “Litigating Against Climate Change: How Does It Work?” In addition to speaking about Ecojustice’s own constitutional challenge to Ontario’s climate change targets and other recent cases, Dr. Doherty will give an overview of the different ways in which the law is used as a tool to fight climate change.
Time: Saturday Feb. 22. Doors open at 1 pm. Michael's presentation will start at 1:20 pm and will be followed by a Q & A until 3:30 pm
Location: the Braithwaite Community Centre on 145 West 1st Street, North Vancouver.
